Our First Date
I asked Raushanah if she liked FroYo and we went on a date at Orange Leaf where we talked well past closing, getting to know each other.
He’s a truly handsome man with a heart full of kindness. Always willing to listen, always ready to help—he’s the kind of person who lifts others up just by being there. His smile is contagious, his presence comforting, and being around him is nothing short of pure joy.
She is a beautiful, kind, and amazing woman that lights up every room she enters. Someone fun to be around and you can’t help but love her.
From frozen yogurt to engaged, we have had a long journey. So much of it has been long distance and we have remained strong and committed to each other through every mile. That distance will become faded memories as we build a life of love and happiness together.
Timeline
I asked Raushanah if she liked FroYo and we went on a date at Orange Leaf where we talked well past closing, getting to know each other.
At some point we just became a couple and this was the date we made it official.
Our first year as a couple
I enlisted in the United States Army, beginning our journey long distance.
After graduating basic training and AIT, I was sent to my first unit in Tennessee. It was hard being so far apart, but we made it through.
Shortly after getting to my unit, I was granted leave to come home for Christmas where I proposed under the Christmas lights of San Antonio City Hall.
We unfortunately returned to long distance due to deployment overseas.
Finally home and back together!
